13 Reasons Why #2

Thirteen Reasons why is book that really sticks to you and makes you want to keep reading. In the book i like how they dont tell you the main guys story until the very midle making it so you have to keep reading to get the reasoning for why the narrator is who he is. I dont like how the book frequently swithches from Hannahs voice to Clays voice. It makes it more difficlut to understand. So far i feel like Hannahs reasons for doing what she did arent as big as they should be. In a way i think that is better than having really bad things happen to her because then more people can relate to her story and kind of try to see things from her point of view. Overall the eents make the story more emotional because the same things could have happened to the reader.

13 Reasons Why #1

The book I am reading is about a girl who kills her self and sends a set of 13 tapes out to 13 peopole telling them the reasons why she killed herself and how they were involved. I really interesting quote from the section I read was "Step-by-step. That's how we'll get through this . One foot in front of the other." I really like this quote because to me it describes both narrators. The boy Clay listening to the tapes and Hannah the speaker of the tapes. Throughout this section i feel like both charcters were and are just trying to get by one step at time while everyone around them seems to be running or moving faster than either of them, but they dont really care they just keep on going one step at a time. The events that lead to the death of Hannah kind of remind me of things i see at school, so far there is no bug reason just a a lot of little one. In the book they call it the "snow ball effect". Little things like a hot or not list or little rumors can start a series of unfortunate events.

OR REFLECTION

Besides the Twilight series I like reading books about more sad things. I am more able to pay attention because it forces me to want to know what happens next. For this quarters blogs I chose to read "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. I chose this book because I have heard really good things about and it sounds like one I would like. I started it and I really like it I think it will be an easy one to blog about.
