13 Reasons why #6

In the middle of the book Clay meets a girl named Skye. He isnt very intersted in her at all she just works at the restuarnt that hannah wants him to go to. But at the end of the book he sees her in the hall school and sees here walking down the same hallway Hannah walked down when she was completely drounded out by the poeple adn when she first started slipping away. I think it is interseting how on the last page of the book you are left with Clay chaseing Skye down the hall. I think this is interseting because he seems to notice the things in this girl that he didnt hannah and now he feels he is able to help her. Another thind i thought was interesting was how much the tapes impacted the people who got them. You could alwys tell when someone had just listended to them becuase as described they had a sad and lost look on their faces adn you just knew. Overall i really liked the book. At first it thought the 13 reasons should have been a little more interstrestinf but by in the end you realize that the reason they give only make the book that much more interresting.

13 Reasons Why #5

Something I noticed while reading this book was that it was written in two different fonts. The fonts switch from clays thoughts on what Hannah is saying to what Hannah is saying. As you read more of the book it seems more and more like the fonts are turing into one. Maybe its just my eyes but i think the other made the fonts so closey alike for a reason. I think that as the book goes on your supposed to feel like Clay and hannah were alot alike which is hwy his thoughts and her words seem to be so closey togherther almost like they are thinkg the same thing and its really onloy one person talking. Another thing I noticed while readint he book was how Clay's cahrcater seemed to change throughout the book. After a while it started to show how the people in his life effected him and how much he actually seemed to care for hannah. In the beining of the book he seems spooked out by the tapes adn he doesnt really want to listent to them anymore but as you read more it seems like all he wants to do is listen to the tapes. He doesnt seem to care about the world around him just about the girls voice who is flowing into his from the tape. He finds his self doing everything she told him to adn he beings to feel what she felt.

13 Reasons Why #4

Twords the end of the book Clay the main charcter is given the reason to why he is on the tapes. In tape number nine is where his story comes up. They told us that he was only in tape simple for Hannah to figure out that Hannah just wanted to apologize for freaking out at him on the night of a party. Like i have said in other blogs i think the author waits so long for the reader to figure out why Clay is on the tapes just to keep us reading the book. I also think that it was a good idea for her to put it more close to the end rather then at the end because then it doesnt just end with us knowng why he was on the tapes but also knowinf what happened the next day at school. I also think that the author made it seem like clay's reason was gonna be something really bad because throughout the book whenever Hannah would bring up clay she would say she was always hearing good things about him and she was just waiting for something bad to slip out but that never happened. I thought that was another way the author kept the reader reading because he wanted you to feel like he had done something really bad but then you find out he really did nothing at all.

13 Reasons Why #3

In the book Hannah puts map in the box of taps and stars all the place she mentions in the book so that whoever is listening to the tapes can go the places she went if they want. In a way i think that this is a good i dea because then the reader of the tapes are able to feel the emotion or try to imagine Hannah there. Clay goes to every spot that Hannah says to go on the tapes he tries to imagine himself doing the same things as Hannah. The Map is a good way to connect to the book. It show how the charcter is just like an every day teenager because the places she goes are places anyother teenager would go.
